Computing
The Cecil H. and Ida M. Green Institute of Geophysics and
Planetary Physics maintains an excellent Local Area Network (LAN)
that serves predominantly Macintosh and Sun workstations. Most
nodes are Gigabit ethernet, allowing for a fast transfer
rate across the network. Printers, high quality color printers, and
plotters are available to all authorized network users. Data is
locally backed up nightly and regularly backed to tapes. If you have

IGPP also houses the Scripps Institution of Oceanography
Visualization Center.
