IGPP Virtual Seminar Series: Jeff Freymueller

IGPP is pleased to invite you to join its Virtual Seminar Series presentation featuring Dr. Jeff Freymueller, Endowed Chair of Geology of the Solid Earth Michigan State University. Dr. Freymueller's talk, "Separating long term tectonic motions, surfacing loading and other sources of Earth deformation" will be available via Zoom on Tuesday, May 12, starting at 12:30apm.  Zoom registration is available through here: https://ucsd.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJApdOusrD8iGNDCGeDixqXwa3nO9gF2oaOw

Worcester, Dzieciuch, collaborators featured in JASA

Peter Worcester, Matt Dzieciuch, collaborators share findings from long-range underwater navigation system that uses measured acoustic travel times from a constellation of acoustic sources was tested using data from the 2010-2011 North Pacific Acoustic Laboratory (NPAL) Philippine Sea experiment sponsored by the U.S. Office of Naval Research. The system provides an undersea positioning capability that is analogous to that provided on land and in the air by the satellite-based Global Positioning System (GPS).
