Fialko, Hill on NBC7: Salton Sea's shrinking may reduce earthquakes

Yuri Fialko and Ryley Hill spoke with NBC7 San Diego to explain how the gradual disappearance of the Salton Sea impacts the San Andreas Fault. The Salton Sea sits at the southern most point of the San Andreas fault, where this body of water has been gradually receding for decades.  The drying of the Salton Sea decreases the pore pressure on the fault.
